Dangote Industries Limited has partnered with Sinoma International Engineering Co. Ltd. through an $800 million Memorandum of Understanding to double the production capacity of its cement plant in Itori, Ogun State, from six million to 12 million metric tonnes annually.

Signed by Dangote Group President Aliko Dangote and Sinoma Chairman Lin Zhong, the deal aims to bolster Nigeria’s cement production and export capabilities across West and Central Africa.

The expansion began ahead of the Itori plant's formal commissioning, with completion slated within 22 months. Alongside the plant upgrade, the agreement includes expanding Dangote’s cement export terminal in Lagos to facilitate regional trade.

Dangote attributed the expansion to the Federal Government’s policy promoting concrete for road construction, expressing appreciation to President Bola Tinubu for creating a supportive business environment.

In response, Sinoma’s Chairman committed to delivering advanced equipment and technical expertise to execute the project efficiently, aligning with Dangote Group’s 2030 strategic vision to drive broader industrial development.
