MultiChoice to Drop Four DStv Channels in September Lineup Review
Pay-TV giant, MultiChoice has announced plans to discontinue four DStv channels on September 16, 2026, as part of an ongoing review of its broadcast portfolio.
Among the affected offerings is M-Net Movies 1, along with local favorites kykNET Lekker, Mzansi Bioskop, and Mzansi Music.
MultiChoice stated that the decision reflects evolving viewer habits, aiming to consolidate programming onto fewer, higher-impact channels rather than spreading content across multiple platforms.
The broadcaster confirmed that popular content from the shuttered channels will remain accessible elsewhere on the platform as it streamlines its service.
